A Kukri with a History: This is an Authentic Khukri that was carried by the Gurka Soldiers during World War I in alliance with the British Army that gained its reputation among the Allied as well as Enemy forces. The khukri proved to be one of the lethal and highly effective short combat weapon with highly sharp blades and its tremendous chopping and slicing power. A design still famous and cherished by soldiers and collectors around the world. This Kukri is inspired from World War I siblings.
Traditional Design: Featuring a 12' sharp blade and 6.5' Handle completely curved from the tip to the handle pommel. Unlike modern design, it lacks the angled peak spine. The handle is slightly bent inwards with flared pommel and raised bands in the middle for better grip. This blocks the fingers from sliding up to the blade preventing hand injuries. A lanyard hole is punched at the edge of the handle for wrist cord. The blade is full flat tang is riveted for extra strength.
A Khukri with several purpose - Not only used by the Gurkas for combat but also by households in Nepal. It a tool for building, pruning, felling branches, chopping woods, cutting meat and vegetables, digging, clearing shrubs, skinning/slaughtering animals, opening cans or any outdoor activities. The mini sized kukri serves well as a kitchen knife for daily needs. The twin knives - 'Karda' can be used as utility tool to skin small animals and 'Chakmak' as quick sharpener or flint to spark fire.

Care Instructions - Apply lubricants on the blade once a month or after every use to and avoid rust. It is important to remove any moist, water or fingerprints on the blades. Always polish the leather scabbard with matching shoe polish to retain the original color and texture. Clean the handles with furniture wax. If the khukri is to be kept out of action, always oil the blades heavily and wrap it in plastic. Store the kukri in dry normal temperature.
